Raul Ortiz received his LLM from Brooklyn Law School, his LLM/MSc from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic and the University Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid, and his LLB from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. Since being admitted in New York State, Raul’s areas of concentration include Labor Law and ERISA. In addition to being admitted to practice law in State of New York, Raul is admitted to practice law in the Dominican Republic since 2008, where his areas of concentration include Labor and Employment, Corporate Law and Governance and Intellectual Property.
Raul has represented labor organizations in various labor cases, including member grievances, wage and hour, discrimination, and discipline matters. He has represented labor organizations before the National Labor Relations Board in representation election cases and various National Labor Relations Act charges. He has represented labor organizations in negotiations, preparation and review of Collective Bargaining Agreements. Raul has also advised Labor Benefit Funds in ERISA matters, plan document preparation and maintenance.
