Richard Hermer-Fried is an Associate Attorney who focuses his practice on complex litigation. His cases range from representing labor unions in ERISA delinquency actions to advocating for industry-leading businesses in commercial disputes. He also represents individuals in employment and discrimination law cases. He has briefed appeals and argued in the Appellate Division, Second Department of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. He has been quoted in Business Insider and Law360 as a legal analyst. He has presented policy proposals at United Nations Space Law and Policy Conference as a legal expert.
Mr. Hermer-Fried earned his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University on a Full Academic Merit Scholarship. During law school, he served as a Senior Articles Editor for the Journal of International Business & Law and was awarded the Gold Public Service honor.
Prior to law school, Mr. Hermer-Fried graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Communications and a specialization in Advertising.
Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Hermer-Fried enjoys fitness training, creative writing, traveling, visiting museums, and hiking.
